Cookie Policy

This policy lists every cookie and similar storage renote.ai uses, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and how to change your choice. It covers the website only; the ReNote AI apps are covered by the Privacy Policy.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Browsers also offer local storage and session storage, which work the same way for this purpose, so this policy covers all three and calls them cookies.

Some cookies are set by renote.ai (first-party). Others are set by companies whose tags run on our pages (third-party). Third parties can read only the cookies they set themselves.

2. The Three Kinds We Use

Essential. Keep you signed in, hold your bag and checkout details, remember a referral code, record your cookie choice, and let Razorpay take payment. The site cannot work without them, so they need no consent and have no switch.

Analytics. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity tell us which pages are read and where people get stuck. Clarity records how a page is used (scrolls, clicks, replays); it masks text you type.

Marketing. Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads and Microsoft Ads tags tell us which of our own campaigns brought you here and whether a visit led to a purchase or a demo booking. They may match your visit to an ad account you hold with that company.

3. Your Choice, By Region

European Union, United Kingdom, Switzerland. Analytics and marketing cookies are off when you arrive and stay off until you accept them in the banner. Essential cookies work regardless.

India and everywhere else. Analytics and marketing cookies run from your first visit. The notice bar lets you reject them, which switches them off for real and is remembered. Under India's DPDP Act you can withdraw this at any time; see our DPDP Notice.

We tell where you are from your browser's timezone, not from your IP address or location. If we cannot tell, we treat you as in the stricter group.

Your choice is kept in the renote_consent cookie for 12 months, then we ask again. We also ask again if this list changes in a way that matters.

5. Analytics Cookies

Run only when analytics is on for you (see section 3). All are loaded through Google Tag Manager, which itself sets no cookies.

7. Services That Load When You Ask

Calendly (demo booking). The booking calendar on the demo page comes from Calendly and loads only after you press Show available times. Calendly then sets its own cookies inside the booking window, under Calendly's privacy policy.

Razorpay (payment). The payment window loads only on the payment step, when you choose to pay. Listed under essential cookies above.

8. Managing Cookies

The same link is in the footer of every page. Your browser can also block or delete cookies for any site, and most offer a private window that forgets everything when closed. Blocking essential cookies will sign you out and empty your bag.

Google offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics on every site: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Meta and Microsoft offer ad controls in your account settings with them.

9. Updates & Contact

We update this page when a cookie is added or removed, and change the date at the top. A change that matters to your choice makes the banner ask again.
