These terms govern your access to and use of ReNote AI's website, apps, GPT Smart Pen, Smart Notebooks, and related services. Please read them carefully.
Acceptance of Terms
Agreement
By accessing or using ReNote AI's website, apps, GPT Smart Pen, Smart Notebooks, or any related products and services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
Your Account & Use
Account Security
Some features require a ReNote AI account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Services — including reverse-engineering, reselling, or using them to break the law or infringe the rights of others, or to upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
Devices & Notebooks
Compatibility
The GPT Smart Pen is engineered to work only with official ReNote Smart Notebooks, which enable accurate stroke tracking and digital syncing. Using unofficial notebooks may produce inaccurate results and is not supported.
Warranty
ReNote hardware includes a limited warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal usage. Damage from misuse, accidents, or unauthorized repair is not covered.
Subscriptions & Payments
Billing
Certain AI features are offered on a subscription basis. Fees, billing cycles, and inclusions are shown at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Refunds
Hardware and subscription refunds are governed by the policy presented at checkout and by applicable consumer-protection law.
Your Content & Our IP
Your Content
You retain all rights to the notes, recordings, and other content you create. You grant ReNote AI a limited license to process this content solely to provide the Services to you.
Our Intellectual Property
The ReNote AI platform, software, designs, and trademarks are owned by ReNote AI Pvt Ltd and protected by law. These Terms grant you no ownership of our intellectual property.
AI Features & Limitations
AI-Generated Output
AI features such as transcription, summarization, and translation are provided on an “as is” basis. Output may contain errors and should be reviewed before you rely on it for important decisions.
Connectivity
Writing and Bluetooth syncing work offline, but AI features — including summarization, translation, and GPT responses — require an internet connection.
Privacy & Data
Data Handling
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. Notes are stored securely in ReNote AI Cloud, powered by Microsoft Azure, with encryption in transit and at rest.
Termination
By You
You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Services in a way that may harm others or ReNote AI.
Disclaimers & Liability
As-Is Service
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, ReNote AI is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.
Governing Law & Contact
Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page, and continued use after they take effect constitutes acceptance.
