This notice is for people in India. It explains, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires, what personal data ReNote AI collects through this website, why, what rights you have over it, and how to reach our Grievance Officer. It sits alongside the Privacy Policy, which applies everywhere.
ReNote AI, Hyderabad, Telangana, India, is the Data Fiduciary: the company that decides why and how your personal data is processed on renote.ai and in the ReNote AI apps.
Our registered address and phone number are on the Contact page.
Account. Name, email, phone number and password (stored hashed), to create and secure your account.
Orders. Shipping address, order history and payment status, to deliver what you buy, handle returns and meet tax and accounting law. Card details go to Razorpay; we never see them.
Messages. What you send through the contact, feedback, demo, vendor and affiliate forms, to reply and act on it.
Website use. With your consent, which pages you visit and how you use them (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) and which of our campaigns brought you (Meta, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads). Every cookie involved is listed in the Cookie Policy.
Product data. Notes, recordings and captures you create in the apps, processed only to provide the service. Covered in detail by the Privacy Policy.
Consent. Analytics and marketing cookies, marketing emails, and use of anonymised samples to improve our AI. You can withdraw consent as easily as you gave it: cookie choices from the footer, emails from the unsubscribe link, anything else by writing to us. Withdrawal does not affect what was done before.
Legitimate use. The Act lets us process data you give us voluntarily for the purpose you gave it, and to keep our legal, security and accounting obligations, without separate consent: your account, orders, payments, support requests and fraud prevention.
Access. A summary of the personal data we hold about you, what we do with it and whom we have shared it with.
Correction and erasure. Fix anything that is wrong or incomplete, and have data erased once it is no longer needed for the purpose or required by law. You can delete your account yourself from account settings.
Withdraw consent. At any time, for anything that rests on consent.
Nominate. Name someone who may exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
Grievance. Raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer, and if you are not satisfied with the answer, with the Data Protection Board of India.
To use any of these, email privacy@renote.ai from the address on your account, or write to the Grievance Officer below. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Grievance Officer. ReNote AI, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Email privacy@renote.ai with "DPDP" in the subject line.
Response time. We acknowledge every request and grievance within 72 hours and resolve it within 30 days of receiving it, which is within the period the DPDP Rules allow. If a case needs longer, we tell you why and when to expect an answer.
Escalation. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Our products are for people aged 18 and over in India. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we do not track children or target advertising at them. If you believe a child has given us data, email privacy@renote.ai and we will remove it.
We will update this notice when our practices or the law change, and change the date at the top. Material changes are announced by email and in the apps at least 30 days before they take effect.
